Behind the Curtain

How America Screws Up the World, Without us Knowing.

How America Screws up the world without ever letting it's own people know what is happening.    By John Chuckman February 13, 2015 - 10:48am

Brian Williams, an anchor for NBC Nightly News, gave his audience a false version of his travels during the Iraq war. This isn't the first instance in which a fairy tale was told to boost political standings with the public. As mentioned in the article, paragraph 2, “Hillary Clinton, in her 2008 nomination campaign, claimed she came under fire in Tuzla Bosnia, in 1996 when her plane landed.”, When in reality, she was welcomed with open arms by a young boy none the less. The article then goes into there not being any truthfulness in journalism anymore, not like we grow up thinking journalism is, giving non-bias information. No, instead there is corruption, bribery, fraud, and much more. For those in America who are are starting to get deeper into their news broadcasts, probably seem like there is an abundance of different providers, when in all reality its 6 massive corporations. A. J. Leibing gave us perfect precision in saying “Freedom of the press is limited to those who own one.”.

Those in the masses of America who pay attention to the media will occasionally see bits of information in regards to over seas affairs, but we don't actually know what is going on. It would be simple to look something up on the Internet that bypasses the media entirely and find out more than what is being said. We are constantly reminded of the actions of other countries, but never are told about Americas actions in those other countries, and it's sometimes residual affects. What of the woman and children of a foreign country? How about the wars/incidents caused by Americans meddling, or America equipping power hungry mercenaries and thugs. Our government wants to keep the younger generation shielded from the worlds affairs, which leaves us vulnerable later in life when they take our place. And believing that this is the norm, making policies and decisions that reflect what they believe the previous generation actually did, when in fact it was made up and exploited by the media.
